Residents are required to obtain a zoning and/or building permit for various types of projects including, but not limited to, the following: New construction, additions, alterations or changes to buildings, structures, and accessory buildings, sheds, carports, greenhouses, patios, porches, decks, swimming pools (both in-ground and above-ground), plumbing and electrical improvements, HVAC installations, signs, and the removal or demolition of any building or structure. A zoning permit is also required for home occupations.
NOTE: All zoning permit applications and building permit applications submitted for processing shall be submitted to the Rockland Township Office. There is a drop-box located next to the main entrance to the Township Building in the event the office is closed for any reason. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT PERMIT APPLICATIONS DIRECT TO THE ZONING OFFICER OR BUILDING CODE OFFICIAL, as this may result in delays with timely processing of the application(s).
*DRIVEWAY PERMITS are handled by the Township Driveway Permit Administrator, Michael Pott (Roadmaster). Please contact Michael Pott at the Township Building with questions concerning driveways and/or driveway permits.
